Our experience in prosecuting and defending employment related disputes involves claims brought under Title I of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990; the Rehabilitation Act of 1973; the Age Discrimination in Employment Act; the Fair Labor Standards Act; the Florida Civil Rights Act; Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; and many other Federal, State and local statutes, laws and ordinances. Our experience encompasses the full spectrum of employment related discrimination/wrongful termination, and includes cases involving age, sex, race, disability, gender, and religious discrimination in an employment setting. In addition, our firm regularly litigates claims based upon an employer's failure to compensate an employee overtime and/or minimum wage as required by state and federal law, and an employer's failure to provide unemployment compensation benefits in violation of state law.
Additionally, Rosen Switkes & Entin P.L. prosecutes and defends employment related disputes at the administrative level, which includes exhausting administrative procedures and remedies prior to the litigation process, and submitting and defending claims brought before the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Unites States Department of Education: Office of Civil Rights, the Florida Commission on Human Relations, the Miami-Dade County Equal Opportunity Board, and many other entities, prior to filing suit in Federal and State Courts.
