Regina
Franco-Murphey was born in Brooklyn,New York onMay 15, 1972. In 1994, Ms.
Franco-Murphey graduated from theUniversityofFloridainGainesville,Florida,
with a Bachelor of Science Degree in the area of Business
Administration.
Ms.
Franco-Murphey subsequently attended the Shepard Broad
Law Center at Nova Southeastern University. While in law
school, she was an active member of the Moot Court Society.
Additionally, she was awarded two summer fellowships from
the Florida Bar Foundation for her public service work
at Central Florida Legal Services inCocoa Beach,Floridaand Broward County Legal
Aid Society inFort Lauderdale,Florida. Ms. Franco-Murphey
also received a fellowship from the Shepard Broad NAPIL
(National Association for Public Interest Law) Chapter
for her pro bono work in the misdemeanor Domestic Violence
Division at the Office of the Public Defender, Seventeenth
Judicial Circuit.
After
graduation and successful completion of the Florida Bar
in 1999, Ms. Franco-Murphey started practicing at the
Broward County Public Defender's Office where she worked
as a Criminal Defense attorney in misdemeanor and felony
divisions. There, she acquired extensive litigation experience
consisting of benc h and jury trials.
From
April 2001 through April 2002, Ms. Franco-Murphey worked
as a litigation associate at the firm of Lidsky, Vaccaro,
& Montes, P.A., where her duties consisted of trial
work specializing in the areas of PIP litigation and personal
injury litigation.
Ms. Franco-Murphey joined the firm of Rosen Switkes & Entin
P.L., in May 2002, where she currently practices in the
areas of personal injury litigation, criminal defense
litigation, as well as providing counseling services to
individuals and entities prior to the litigation process.
