Javier Ley-Soto
was born on September 22, 1978.  He graduated from the University of Florida in 2001with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Criminology.  At the University of Florida, he was a member of Florida Blue Key, President of the Hispanic Student Association, inducted to the University of Florida Hall of Fame, named in the Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities, recognized as an Outstanding Male Graduate, served on various Presidential committees, and selected as a member of College Leadership Florida, Class 4, through the Florida Chamber of Commerce.

In May of 2005, Mr. Ley-Soto graduated from St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, Florida.  While at St, Thomas University, he served as the President of the Student Bar Association, was an Articles Editor for the St. Thomas Law Review, a Member of the Moot Court Board, a founding member of the St. Thomas More Catholic Law Society, and a Scholarship recipient for community service and involvement from the Miami-Dade Chapter of the Florida Association of Women Lawyer’s.  Additionally, Mr. Ley-Soto served as a legal clerk for the Honorable Judge David M. Gersten of the Third District Court of Appeal. 

Mr. Ley-Soto was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2005, and admitted to the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida in 2006.  He is an active member with the American Bar Association, the Miami Beach Bar Association, Dade County Bar Association, Cuban American Bar Association, and was recently appointed to serve as a Board of Director for College Leadership Florida.
