James E. Rauh was born September 29, 1974 and received his undergraduate degree in Finance from Fordham University in the Bronx, New York. On active duty as a U.S. Marine, Mr. Rauh served as an Officer with the Second Marine Division and subsequently served in the Select Marine Corps Reserve as a Platoon Commander with the 8th Tank Battalion. Mr. Rauh attended the St. Thomas University School of Law where he received his Juris Doctor in May 2003, graduating from St. Thomas University School of Law Magna Cum Laude. Mr. Rauh was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2003.
During his law school career, Mr. Rauh served as a Senior Articles Editor of the St. Thomas Law Review. In addition, Mr. Rauh was a member of the Peter T. Fay American Inn of Court. During the fall of 2002, Mr. Rauh served as a legal clerk with United States Securities and Exchange Commission's Southeast Regional Office. During the spring of 2002, Mr. Rauh served as an intern for Senior United States District Court Judge James Lawrence King in the Southern District of Florida. During the fall of 2003, Mr. Rauh served as a law clerk with the Major Crimes Division of the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Florida. While at St. Thomas University School of Law, Mr. Rauh served as a Research Assistant in the areas of federal securities law and labor law and as a Dean’s Fellow for the course of Torts.
James E. Rauh is licensed to practice law in the State Courts of Florida and Southern District of Florida. He has been an associate at Rosen Switkes & Entin P.L. since October of 2003 and currently practices in the areas of civil trial practice, civil rights litigation, commercial litigation, personal injury litigation, land use and zoning matters, and provides counseling services to individuals and entities prior to the initiation of the litigation process.
